A report on Indian education admits that “There is too much emphasis on Western ideas, and teachers under training do not get exposed effectively to Indian philosophical and psychological concept of education”. Progressively erosion of values among teachers as well as students is seen as a highly dangerous development. Hence, there is a need of democratic and ethical education system which should be “scientific” at the same time.
